When the Octagon-style octagonal bezel arrived in the early seventies, the eight exposed screws were a deliberate provocation — industrial fasteners on a luxury watch, at a price that made no sense for stainless steel. The design has since become one of the most recognisable silhouettes in the world. The Octagon Series Steel is built in that spirit: 40mm, the classic waffle-textured dial, Miyota 8215 automatic movement visible through the exhibition caseback, and a rubber strap that makes no apologies about this being a sports watch.
Blue, Gray, and White each have their own character. Blue is the original colour association for this type of case and remains the most coveted. Gray reads as the most architectural.
