The RM 35 Rafa Carbon Fiber brings carbon fiber surface treatment to the Rafa tonneau case design. The woven carbon fiber texture is visible on the case surface - in Black Carbon Fiber the weave reads dark and monolithic with texture visible at close inspection; in White Carbon Fiber the weave reads as lighter and more explicitly graphic against the surrounding case elements. Both are the same 42x55mm 316L steel tonneau architecture underneath.
The Rafa naming in the Daniel Gorman RM series draws on the association between high-performance sport and the design aesthetic of the RM collection - bold tonneau geometry, large case proportions, sport-oriented materials. The Carbon Fiber variant extends this into materials territory: carbon fiber is the material of high-performance sport and motorsport, and its presence on the Rafa case reinforces the athletic character of the series.
The RM 35 Rafa Carbon Fiber achieves 5 ATM / 50M water resistance - the higher rating compared to the RM Space Edition Carbon Fiber's 3 ATM / 30M. At 5 ATM the watch is suitable for swimming and active water sport. For a carbon fiber case watch designed for active and sport-focused wearing contexts, 5 ATM is the appropriate specification.
Black Carbon Fiber: the dark woven carbon surface creates a near-monochromatic statement piece - intense, focused, and technically credible.
